Advances in cancer treatment have led to shorter hospital stays and sicker people being cared for at home. As a result, home health care professionals have become more important than ever in maintaining the quality of life for cancer patients in their homes.
Caregivers are trained to recognize signs of problems patients with cancer experience including the possible side effects of treatments.
Compassionate Home Health Aides can assist with palliative treatment (i.e. keeping the patient comfortable especially if they are at the end stage). Aides also provide respite care to allow family members to get a break from caring for the ill person.
